MAY 2010 ~ DREAM DESSERTS ~ LOGO DESIGN

DREAM DESSERTS, based in Manchester, create delicious desserts for sale within the lucrative restaurant market. They needed a bright and appealing logo to showcase their range of desserts to both new and existing clients. The logo itself had to look "good enough to eat".


OUR DESIGN TEAM went to work on researching the desserts market to see how competitors were marketing themselves. The Dream Desserts logo needed look impressive and grab attention.

 

Phil Calladine says, "The final logo above certainly has all of the credentials to work well within the desserts market. This logo will look great on all sorts of packaging, and also on the web and on signage".

APRIL 2010 ~ MEDICAL INSTALLATIONS ~ FOLDER & INSERTS

MEDICAL INSTALLATIONS, based in Manchester, build operating theatres both in the UK and abroad. They were looking for fresh materials to market themselves and wanted both a modern and corporate feel. These materials had to be capable of winning new business in an international marketplace.


OUR DESIGN TEAM created a gloss laminated folder and 4 silk inserts to showcase the full range of services that Medical Installations can offer. These were created using supplied images and text.

 

Phil Calladine says, "This client needed something different to attack overseas markets. They came to us with basic ideas and then our design team liaised with them on creating the finished materials".

MARCH 2010 ~ TRIMXELL HEALTHCARE FOUNDATION ~ 8 PAGE, A5 BROCHURE

TRIMXELL HEALTHCARE FOUNDATION, based in Manchester, launched a project to build a new hospital for the Jaba community of Nigeria. A brochure explaining the background philosophy, funding strategy and time-frames to build the hospital was needed to keep stakeholders informed.


OUR DESIGN TEAM liaised directly with a Nigerian contact and designed an 8 page A5 brochure to meet the requirements of the brief. The brochure used bright colours and imagery in-keeping with Nigerian culture,

 

Phil Calladine says, "The client wanted this brochure to contain vibrant images and impactful messages to engage with the local community. It needed to be an easy read, informative, but also quite detailed".

FEBRUARY 2010 ~ 3 SERIES TILING ~ LOGO & MARKETING BROCHURE


3 SERIES TILING, in Manchester, were looking for a professional logo and also a marketing brochure as they pushed for a number of contracts in the North West of England. The look and overall feel of the logo and branding needed to portray a young, bright and modern company with a strong emphasis on quality.


OUR DESIGN TEAM created 3 logo concepts for presntation to the client. The final logo chosen was a collaboration of 2 of these concepts. Secondly a marketing brochure was created to showcase the company.

JANUARY 2010 ~ EASTSERVE BROADBAND ~ MARKETING LEAFLET

 


EASTSERVE BROADBAND in East Manchester have a unique broadband product where you don't need a phone line to receive broadband. They were looking to market this as "Broadband without a phone" and needed a marketing leaflet to send out to existing and potential clients.

OUR DESIGN TEAM came up with an A5 leaflet and posters to clearly explain the unique selling points of Eastserve Broadband. Increasingly, people don't need a home phone, but still need broadband.


Phil Calladine says, "The brief for this leaflet was to explain the benefits with a key message that you can save money without compromising on speed or reliability". The solution is unique to East Manchester".

DECEMBER 2009 ~ CITY CENTRE PROJECT ~ A6 BROCHURE

 


CITY CENTRE PROJECT in Manchester required an information brochure for their "House Trained" scheme. House Trained is designed to help young Manchester people aged 16-25 into secure accommodation, which would in turn greatly increase their chances of finding permanent employment.

OUR DESIGN TEAM came up with an 8 panel information brochure to clearly explain the House Trained scheme. The imagery and feel of the piece was firmly aimed at the target age group.

Phil Calladine says, "The brief for this brochure was that it must be non-patronising and very easy to understand. It needed to engage with disadvantaged young people and encourage them to seek help.".

NOVEMBER 2009 ~ HABITAT ~ CHRISTMAS CARDS

 



HABITAT MANCHESTER, St. Ann Street, were looking to promote a pre-Christmas shopping event so needed Christmas Cards in which to post out the invitations and put their key customers in the festive mood for a spot of pre-Christmas furniture shopping.

OUR DESIGN TEAM came up with several card designs to enable Habitat to clearly communicate with their clients and say "Have A Fantastic Christmas" and "Thanks For Shopping With Us".

Phil Calladine says, "The brief for this Christmas card was simply for a great looking Christmas card that would be in-keeping with the high quality of the Habitat brand".

OCTOBER 2009 ~ OPENSHAW OPTICAL ~ CORPORATE IDENTITY

 



OPENSHAW OPTICAL owner, Cheryl Grose, was looking for a fresh new look for her opticians business in Manchester. She contacted Dreamwaves graphic design about creating a Corporate Identity to take her business forward and attract new clients.

OUR DESIGN TEAM came up with a number of designs to present to Cheryl - the winning design featured here. Detailed research into competitors led to the idea for using an eye image with the fresh colours that Cheryl liked.

Phil Calladine says, "The brief for this Corporate Identity was for a design that would clearly be identifiable as an opticians. It should be very corporate and work well on stationery, shop signage and on the web".

AUGUST 2009 ~ A2Z SCHOOL OF ENGLISH ~ BROCHURES 



A2Z SCHOOL OF ENGLISH director, James Taylor, required marketing brochures to hand out to people making enquiries at his college in Manchester. He needed the brochures to be easy to read, full of pictures and to show off Manchester at its very best light.

OUR DESIGN TEAM have worked with A2Z for a number of years and have already produced folders and inserts to attract students to A2Z from around the world. So they already possessed a firm understanding of what was needed to ensure the brochures achieved maximum success.

JULY 2009 ~ PIZZA HUT ~ PROMOTIONAL POSTERS 



PIZZA HUT, with several restaurants in City Centre Manchester were to run a number of promotional events to encourage weekday trade. They needed attractive window posters to entice passers by.

OUR DESIGN TEAM e-mailed over several examples of projects for other restaurant clients and were then given the go-ahead to design posters for "Monday Madness" and "Wacky Weekdays".

The posters are currently on display in several Pizza Hut outlets throughout Manchester City Centre. If you're looking for a midweek pizza then take a look.

JUNE 2009 ~ CROFTONS SOLICITORS ~ EXHIBITION DISPLAY 



CROFTONS SOLICITORS, based in Manchester City Centre, were to exhibit at the Chartered Institute of Housing’s annual conference at the International Conference Centre, Harrogate, June 2009.

OUR DESIGN TEAM were briefed to design a wall panel display encompassing client testimonials from recent regeneration projects. The displays were to also include a competition to win £500 towards the regeneration project of the winners choice.

Cathy McFadden of Croftons said, "IT WAS A GREAT SHOW AND THE DISPLAY LOOKED AMAZING".

MAY 2009 ~ VIVO INTERIORS ~ SPOT GLOSS MARKETING CARDS


VIVO INTERIORS, based in Manchester, offer a portfolio of furnishing opportunities to attract property investors with quite different needs. MD Clare Whitehead looks to attract maximum rental incomes for:

INDIVIDUAL BUYERS - needing a rental apartment that stands out.
DEVELOPERS - needing to create a penthouse show suite that can also be rented out nightly. ENTREPENEURS - needing stunning yet affordable furnishings for aparthotels.

OUR DESIGN TEAM were briefed to design an imaginative folded brochure with a spot gloss to turn on investors. The finished product looks amazing and can be viewed at the Gt Ancoats St studio.

APRIL 2009 ~ TIFFANY BLING ~ 32 PAGE BROCHURE 

TIFFANY BLING, based in Manchester's fashionable Northern Quarter wanted to market their exclusive ranges of Summer prom dresses and evening dresses using full colour brochures.

The brochures needed to be of exceptional quality to mirror the exceptional quality of their dresses. Tiffany Bling have competitors in their market sector and were naturally looking to increase sales.

OUR DESIGN TEAM designed 32 page brochures in a clearly laid out style making it easy for buyers to select and order their dresses. An index on the rear inside cover aids clients with their selection choices.

MARCH 2009 ~ NCP CAR PARKS (MANCHESTER) ~ LEAFLETS 



NCP CAR PARKS (MANCHESTER) launched a valet car parking and deluxe car cleaning scheme throughout their Manchester City Centre car parks in March 2009.

OUR DESIGN TEAM designed silk leaflets to inform customers how their cars could be collected from their destination, before then being securely parked, and later returned back to them, cleaned if required.

FEBRUARY 2009 ~ CLIVE ANTHONY RESIDENTIAL LETTINGS ~ BRANDING, BOARDS, FOLDERS, STATIONERY, MARKETING LEAFLETS, WINDOW POSTERS


CLIVE ANTHONY RESIDENTIAL LETTINGS, based in Whitefield, Manchester, launched their new lettings agency in February 2009. They were looking for a distinctive brand to quickly establish themselves within their local community.

OUR DESIGN TEAM initially created a brand using the names of the directors Clive Rubenstein and Anthony Horwich. Both directors liked the distinctive colours green, grey and white.


Lettings boards were designed along with branded folders and marketing materials. The lettings boards can now be seen around Greater Manchester.
